Kinja'd!!!

Went out to Cars and Coffee this morning. Saw some really nice cars. Missed getting pictures on a Diablo VT and a Ford GT. There were a couple of other people from Oppo there so I’m sure there’ll be pictures somewhere.

Kinja'd!!!

Some $kaybait, not the best picture because I was squished between an F430 and a Panamera to get this one.

Kinja'd!!!

An apparent SCCA Champion car.

Kinja'd!!!

A fantastically coloured Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce.

Kinja'd!!!

Speaking of vehicles that aren’t known for being terribly reliable; three of the at least 5 Citroens that showed up.

Kinja'd!!!

There were a few Dodge Challengers there, but my favourite wasn’t even the Hellcat. It was this one with a different take on supercharging (aftermarket).

Kinja'd!!!

There were 2 different yellow MR2s there, and a white on as well.

Kinja'd!!!

My favourite Porsche, and the only modern one I would buy.

Kinja'd!!!

This absolutely beautiful RX7 with an LS2 swap. It was really well done, and I would take this car exactly as it sits.

Kinja'd!!!

Here’s the link to the album with the rest. The slide show isn’t working for me right now.

I was there from about 9:15am to 11am. I did see the grey GT, just didn’t get any pictures of it or the Diablo that was there. I was the guy walking around wearing the One Industries hoodie, and the lock me mama like a wagon wheel Jalopnik shirt.

Beautiful. Almost looks stanced tho? o.O

It was pretty low, and there was a tiny bit of negative camber, but it was way more set up for track. Definitely not stanced.

Ah I was there 9-10, mostly trying to keep track of where people were moving their cars and what was coming in. I was the awkward guy in the red Monstercat shirt photo-ing everything - maybe I should bring something Oppo related next time haha

Sorry, I guess I didn’t mean “stanced”. Anyway, that white paint realllly brings out the car’s shape.

I’ll agree with that. The Cayman is my favourite Porsche. And the only one from the last 30 or so years I would spend money on.

I had my girlfriend there with me. I walked around once then went and grabbed my camera.

Probably not a bad idea. I knew there were supposed to be a couple of us around so I figured the shirt would be alright.

Nice pictures by the way. I don’t think I saw the Benz on air. There was another cream coloured Datsun that showed up later to that looked decently modified. I forgot I didn’t get pictures of the Porsche speedster.

I love Citroen’s, especially the 2CV that probably you don’t have pictures of here, but this one is my second favorite. Where I come from it was called the “Bedpan”.

The Shelby’s are also amazing!

there was actually two 2CVs there. A white one I have a picture of in the album, and a grey one that I got a picture of last year that’s also in my flickr.

Why was it called a bed pan?

the cobras are cool. One of them has Carroll Shelby’s signature.

Shelby’s signature? That’s the car for me!

Bed Pan? The legend says that someone made a joke that the basis of the design was this

Kinja'd!!!

and it stuck for some reason.

I have a picture of the signature somewhere. I’ll find it after work.

that’s what I was thinking of but a more modern plastic one. I can see the similar shape if the bed pan is upside down.

That’s it, I just couldn’t find a picture of one like that in a hurry. Work tends to get in the way of important stuff like this.

I can see the resemblance. I’m sure Citroën wouldn’t like the nickname.

Heres the link to the photo. I can’t seem to get it to load on mobile.

I’m sure they don’t like it, but it’s only a nickname.

Can’t see the picture. I also have problems when loading stuff on kinja on my mobile sometimes.

I’ll fix it when I get home then.

Yeah. I suspect that nickname isn’t the worst thing their marketing department had to worry about.
